Sequim is home to many small businesses, and is known for the "friendly, hometown" atmosphere it incorporates.

As with all smaller communities, it's a good idea to "shop at home." These businesses and services have websites for your convenience - you can check out the business, and even order from some of them.

The city of Sequim is currently in a "slowed growth" status, with the current city council trying to hold off any future development by adding sizeable fees for development.

The city now has several larger stores, which is a boon to the locals, and helps with the tax base for the city. It also saves on gas, as many have traveled to Silverdale, approx. 60 miles away, to do any kind of shopping.

There are those who are not in favor of the so-called "big box" stores; but they offer employment in tough times, and a way for lower-income folks to afford the necessities.
